To enrol your child for 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten in 2026 you first need to register them via the Frankston City Council website.
Registrations for 3-year-old kindergarten for 2026 will be open from 31 March 2025.
On-time registrations close on 3 August at 5:00pm.
Registrations for 4-year-old kindergarten for 2025 will be open from 31 March 2025
On-time registrations close on 30 May at 5:00pm.

Enrolment FAQs
For 4-year-old kinder your child must be 4 years of age or older by 30 April in the year they start kindergarten. The same rule applies for 3-old-kinder.
There are 3 steps to the enrolment process:
- Registration via the Frankston City Council website. Make sure you select ‘Ballam Park Preschool’ as your 1st preference.
- Receiving your offer of enrolment. If your child has been offered a place at the kinder you will receive a letter of offer from Frankston Council.
- Accepting your offer. To complete enrolment you will need to email us with your acceptance and necessary documents.
- A copy of your child’s birth certificate
- A copy of your child’s Immunisation History Statement
- Proof of address (i.e. drivers licence, utility bill etc.)
- A copy of any relevant concession cards or visas
No, kindergartens are not zoned like primary and secondary schools.
Offer letters from Frankston Council will be emailed to families from the following dates:
3-year-olds – Monday 11 August 2025
4-year-old 28 July 2025
There is a small fee to register for kindergarten with Frankston Council. This may be waived if you meet special circumstances (see Frankston City Council website for details).
3 & 4-year old kindergarten is fully funded in Victoria, however some excursions/incursions have a small cost.
Victoria has a ‘No Jab, No Play’ policy. You must provide proof that your child is up-to-date with their immunisations to confirm their enrolment.
